Body for Life

How this diet works:

It breaks down the myths of losing weight and gives you a down-to-earth step by step through integrated program.

Good points:

Tells you how to lose fat and increase your strength by exercising less, not more, how to feed your muscles (those fat burning engines) while starving fat.  The author even challenges you to win by offering prizes. (Really).

Bad points:

Depends on how you look at it.  You have to exercise and you have to eat correctly, but it gets the results and you healthy as a result.   Its not a diet for those who want the "miracle cure".

Duration: Twelve weeks.

More information about this diet:

It explores lots of myths that might keep you from achieving the results you want and explains how the body works.   It gives you a exercise map and tells you how to eat to achieve outstanding results.   Has lots of before and after pictures so you can see what happens to those folks who keep to it for 12 weeks.  Some are astounding.

Books:

Body for Life: 12 Weeks to Mental and Physical Strength

Body for Life for Women : A Woman's Plan for Physical and Mental Transformation
