Hormones There
is lots of talk about hormones and how if they are
unbalanced that they need to be balanced and how it
causes weight gain, or anxiety or pre-menopause, etc.
etc. etc. There are also a lot of drugs being
pushed on people to fix it including bio-identical
hormones. We're uncertain how you can really get
a bio-identical hormone without your body producing
it. And doubly puzzling when you can get your body
to produce the correct hormones, if you find out what
is going on and can correct it. Hormones
are communication lines of the body regarding getting
something done. Yes, the nerves are there, but
it is the hormones that get the body to do what you
need it to do. You
see a tiger - you get the thought that there is a
tiger in front of you. You translate that into
an emotion - fear? anxiety? maybe even
excitement if you are a big game hunter.
That emotion effects the hormones which then get the
body to do what it needs to do. In our example,
we need to fight the tiger or run like the dickens -
in other words, take flight. The glands
produce adrenaline and other hormones in order to put
that plan into action. We fight. Or
maybe take flight, but that is the way the body works.
Now what happens if the body doesn't quite produce
enough of a hormone, or two much or the hormones are
not in balance to be able to work their best? Do
you get the picture? For
those who would like to get a better idea of these
hormones and what they do and what an unbalance can do
to your health. We've found an excellent book. It
is designed to determine what is unbalanced in your
body so that you can lose weight. If you do need
to lose weight, then this book it ideal for you.
But, if you don't have to lose weight but want to
understand the hormones and what caused the
imbalances, this book serves well. It
is excellent. It is easy to read. To
find out about your Hormones.
There is a book which although talking about
weight loss, will give you great insight into hormones
and how they effect you. See the
